Honeymoon Day 2 - Serenades and ships and minivans, oh my!

Our 2nd day was full of plenty of fun and adventure. We woke up to the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach just outside our window...such an amazing sound! The rest of the day was filled with checking out Old Town San Diego, visiting the Midway, checking out the Gaslamp quarter, and finishing off the day renting a minivan. Yep, you read that right...a minivan.

Honeymoon Day 1 - Sunny San Diego

So yeah, I brought my laptop on my honeymoon, but trust me, it was for planning our days adventures. You see, I didn't exactly plan anything, because that's how I roll. I reserved the hotel room online the night before we left, I had bought the plane tickets three weeks before we left, but I had no rental car or specific plan on what we were doing. I'm sure things will just work out, right???

First shot at some wedding pictures

Before my mom left on the plane flight back to North Dakota, I was able to grab her camera and download a bunch of the pictures she took from the whole week.

We have pictures of my family as I took them around Boise, the rehersal dinner, the photos that we took before the wedding at Albertson's park, the ceremony, and the reception. These aren't the photos that the photographer took, we will get a first look at those in a week, and have all of the pictures in around 8 weeks, but we already really have quite a few good pictures.

We did it!

So we're married!

What an awesome day! It's so amazing to have seen everybody at the wedding, Katie and I are really lucky to have so many cool people in our lives.

The day was so fun, for us, it started off with pictures at Albertson's park with the bridal party and family. I got to see Katie in her dress, Wowwy wow wow. She looked beautiful. We also got to see some guys fake fighting, some "special" dogs, and we got a picture of me pitching to Katie in our fancy dress. Let's just say that I may have struck Katie out a couple times... she can't catch up with the fastball

After that, back to the church to relax and take a couple quick pics before the wedding.

The ceremony was wonderful thanks to everyone who helped out, musicians, altar servers, eucharistic ministers, readers, and Uncle Mike, were a few among the many that helped make the whole ceremony special for everyone. We really took Uncle Mike's words to heart and they will remain with us forever. It all went by so fast. I realized when we were up there sitting during mass that it was really the first time I've been able to sit down and really relax since quite a few days before the wedding, I was so happy to finally be there with Katie.

We will hopefully find some pictures soon to put up... stay tuned.

Just a couple days...

In just a few days, Jeremy and I will be standing in front of a whole lot of people vowing to love and honor each other for the rest of our lives. It has all become so real as our families have been arriving and we have been tying up loose ends to prepare for the big day.

I've been getting a lot of wonderful advice, but it seems the best advice I've had is to truly live in the moment on our wedding day...take time to really see and enjoy each other, our friends and family...appreciate the little details, but don't fuss about things that aren't exactly as we imagined. I truly hope we are able to do that amongst the craziness and the hustle and bustle of the day. I know we won't have nearly the amount of time we hope to have with everyone who attends, but we hope to spend a few moments with everyone who has come to share this special day with us.

It looks like we are going to be blessed with beautiful weather, good food, and great friends and family for the weekend. We're so excited to see you all! We're praying for safe travels for everyone!
